CST is a Guernsey based investment vehicle launched by CCL in 2013 as a ‘programmatic joint venture’ with CBRE Global Investment Partners (GIP). GIP represent 27 global clients and 2 in-house funds which have invested alongside CCL.
£320m of equity has been invested through nine separate closings committing to the forward funding of 23 assets. When all the current schemes are completed the newly built assets will comprise over 7000 beds in 15 different towns and cities. Thirteen assets are currently operational, eight more are scheduled to open in August 2017 and three in 2018. These operational assets are marketed and managed by Fresh Student Living, a subsidiary of the Watkin Jones Group PLC, who are also the developer for 14 of the assets.
